Hello. I am Handan.

I have been drawing since I was three and keeping diaries since thirteen. Writing and drawing have always been my way of exploring and expressing feelings. Seven years ago, while working in a small paper shop in Toronto, I founded Hello From Toronto. What started as a simple idea soon became something more meaningful when I saw how my creations connected me to people.

 

Later, I spent a couple of years as a designer at Indigo, working in their paper and stationery department. Surrounded by beautiful textures, prints, and illustrations, I deepened my love for creating designs that people could hold in their hands and make part of their everyday lives.

 

As our lives shifted more toward social media and fast scrolling, I began to notice how quickly visuals and words pass us by. They rarely stay with us, often fading as soon as they appear. Discovering the concept of snail mail felt like the perfect antidote — a way to slow down, write with intention, and share art that lingers.

 

This club is my way of carrying that spirit forward. I hope you’ll join me from anywhere in the world to celebrate slowing down, reconnecting, and cherishing the beauty of thoughtful letters and handmade art.
